We are delighted to have your family as a part of Agora Cyber Charter School for the 2017-18 school year. The learning coach and student will begin the first day of school by participating in a comprehensive three-day online Student Orientation Program. The purpose of the Student Orientation Program is to ease your family into the online learning model and to equip the student with the academic knowledge, skills and technical proficiency needed to successfully begin their online courses.
During orientation, you and student will attend mandatory online sessions with real-time interaction and teacher provided instructional content. Students are required to attend all orientation live sessions to be marked present in school each day, unless approved as an asynchronous learner by administration. Students are also required to complete daily online and offline assignments to further their understanding and demonstrate their ability to meet the daily expectations of their grade-level online program.
Prior to the first day of school, the parent or legal guardian will receive information to the email address provided during enrollment to set up the online school accounts and prepare to attend orientation. Select the arrow next to ‘Orientation’, on the left-side of the screen, to view the Grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 orientation pages. Within the orientation pages you will find the orientation live session times and additional information specific to that grade-band.
Please check email on a regular basis so you are up-to-date with all school communications. Newly registered families should complete all of the steps in the checklist below prior to the first day of school.
Once your family is prepared to begin school select the appropriate grade-level guide below for directions to log into the Online School and attend orientation live sessions.
