Alex’s Lemonade Stand Fundraiser
|We are excited to announce that Agora will be participating in the 4th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Community Service Project during PSSA testing. Each testing site will be collecting small donations/coins to help Agora raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, which is a charity that funds research to help children fight cancer.
Our goal is to raise $400 this year and we can do it. Every $50 we raise will fund 1 hour of research for a childhood cancer hero like Raymeer, who had to learn how to walk all over again after receiving cancer treatment. The one hour you are able to fund, may very well be the hour that one of our grant-funded researchers has a major breakthrough. Last year we reached our goal and collected over $450 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
Please bring your donations the week you are assigned at your PSSA site: April 9th- May 4th. There will be a collection jar at the testing site for donations or talk to a staff person at your site for assistance.
Any Agora student and family can still participate even if you are not testing at a PSSA site by using any of the following methods:
*Mail your donation directly to Agora’s main campus at:
Remember donations to charities are tax-deductible. If you are writing a check, please make it payable to Alex’s Lemonade Stand and include Event ID# E1437161 on the memo line.
This is a great way for us as a school to unite for a great cause and give back to the community by helping children in need. So, start checking under the couch cushions for some spare coins! Every little bit helps and together we can do so much. Your participation is completely voluntary and you are not required to donate.
Please visit Alex’s Lemonade Stand website to learn more about the foundation.
Thank you very much for your help to make a meaningful difference in the lives with children with cancer. Best of luck with testing.
