Each student is assigned a Family Coach who serves as a liaison between Agora and the family. As a result, families receive consistent one-on-one support throughout the school year. In addition, Family Coaches serve as the first point of contact. They are based regionally across the state to support students in their assigned areas.
To begin the year, the Family Coach welcomes each student and family to Agora. Then, they help ensure a smooth transition to the online learning platform. In addition, the coach meets with the student regularly. During these meetings, they confirm the student is engaged and actively participating in learning.
Furthermore, Family Coaches work closely with school staff to support each student. Together, they introduce learning opportunities that meet academic and personal needs. As a result, students experience a positive and supportive learning environment.
Finally, regionally based Family Coaches organize Agora Days Out events. These events bring students and families together for in-person activities and social connection.
