College/Career Preparation

During a student’s journey throughout high school, students are provided with many rich experiences in post-secondary exploration. Agora builds on the strength, compassion, and support of all staff with the use of career-focused programs and services which assist in the highest level of preparation needed for a smooth transition from high school.

Upon completion of a high school diploma at Agora Cyber Charter School, students will be able to:

  1. Display self-confidence in the ability to succeed.
  2. Display a positive attitude toward work and learning.
  3. Display a strong belief in using abilities in order to reach fullest potential and achieve high-quality results and outcomes.
  4. Display a growth mindset while demonstrating social maturity and behaviors appropriate to the situation and environment.
  5. Understand that post-secondary education and life-long learning are necessary for long-term career success.
  6. Gather evidence and consider multiple perspectives to make informed decisions.
  7. Demonstrate critical-thinking skills to make informed decisions.
  8. Demonstrate an ability to manage transitions and adapt to changing situations and responsibilities.
  9. Demonstrate advocacy skills and ability to assert self when necessary.

Social/Emotional Preparation

Adolescents today face a rapidly changing world with new technologies, opportunities, and potential challenges. Agora maintains a strong support system to assist students in navigating through the formative years. Students are given opportunities to flourish academically and strengthen social and emotional behaviors to meet their present and future goals.

Upon completion of a high school diploma at Agora Cyber Charter School, students will be able to:

Academic Preparation

To adequately prepare for future goals, whether they include further education or immediate entry into the job market, proper academic planning is a cooperative effort. School counselors, teachers, and parents work together to assist students in understanding their abilities, interests, and future goals.

Various course pathways include college prep, Destinations Career Academy, and Advance Placement courses. Agora’s robust online career academy combines traditional academics with industry-relevant, career-focused courses to help students gain real-world skills in high-demand career fields. While working toward a high school diploma, students get the jump-start they need for college, career, or both.
